Show Notes

—-------------------NO CHICKENS WERE HARMED IN THIS EPISODE—----------------------------

Our thanks to Julie Gearing for her rendition of The Raven for our spooky episode! Tori leads off with the tale of Frankenstein Castle and some of the many myths that have been attached to the spot. This castle may have been some of Mary Shelley’s inspiration for the tale of the monster but it looks like some of this may have been pure speculation. Add in some magnetic weirdness and a dragon, you got ghost stories! Krys covers one of the most beloved and puzzling of classic horror writers, Edgar Allen Poe! Krys tells us of his interesting upbringing and even more interesting ways of making money to try to stay at school. Good old Edgar did some interesting things to get discharged from the army as well. His love life was more of a train wreck as well. The man was a bit more complicated than at first glance as well. Krys goes into the mystery of his death as well. Malcom is with us and regales us with the tale of Goodie Hanna Hovey AKA Hanna Cranna. This is where the chicken is involved as well. He coins the phrase “Karen Curse” with the tale of this witch. All is all, don’t forget, HAPPY SPOOKY SEASON!
